Job summary

Gastro Health, a large digestive health group, seeks a Medical Assistant to support clinicians and maintain efficient clinic operations. You will greet patients, take vitals, document medical histories, assist with procedures, and manage EMR entries to ensure accurate records and smooth patient flow.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of MA experience in a medical office, completion of an MA program, BLS certification, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant course is desirable.
• 2+ years’ experience as a medical assistant in a medical office required

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and escort to exam room.
• Triage and document vitals, chief complaint, and medical history in the EMR.
• Enter current medications and prescriptions into the EMR system.
• Assist physician with procedures and maintain sterile technique.
• Disinfect instruments and keep exam rooms neat and clean.
• Replenish exam room supplies and support Care Coordinator as needed.
