Gastro Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and maintain efficient clinical operations in our Florida locations. You will interact with patients, record vital signs, document histories, and assist with procedures, while ensuring accuracy and a compassionate patient experience.

The role requires a Medical Assistant credential, BLS certification, and 2+ years in a medical office. You will work in a fast-paced environment with a team dedicated to digestive and liver health.

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant course is desirable; certification is desirable.
• 2+ years’ experience as a medical assistant in a medical office is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating patients who are late or walk-ins with available providers.
• Greet the patient, introduce yourself, and escort the patient to the assigned exam room.
• Triage patient, take vitals, chief complaint, and past and present history into the EMR system.
• Enter current medications and prescription data into the EMR system.
• Support Care Coordinator when necessary.
• Draw blood and utilize the laboratory information system.
