Kansas Health System's Westwood Administration - East seeks a Medical Assistant to help move patients smoothly through visits. You will prepare patients for exams, assist clinicians, and support documentation and test scheduling while maintaining compassionate, culturally sensitive service.

The role requires a high school diploma and completion of an accredited MA program or relevant experience with certifications.

Competenze

Requires high school graduation.
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or at least one year as a Medical Assistant or CCMA/NCRMA certification.
Basic typing and word processing skills.

Mansioni

Schedule tests, obtain films/reports, and prepare laboratory specimens.
Assist physicians and/or nurses with procedures and examinations as defined on competency checklist.
Coordinate patient care with the health care team; may record patient history for clinical staff review.
Electronically submit, call and/or fax prescriptions and refills to outpatient pharmacies.
Ensure data collected for completed procedures is recorded in medical records.
Maintain medical records; ensure documentation is available; file, photocopy and process forms related to charts.
Maintain exam rooms: stock supplies and check logs and equipment.
Greet patients; register; schedule; pre-certify tests; process insurance forms; enter charges.
Perform simple procedures as directed by nurse or physician per competency checklist.
Perform vital signs, height, weight, and screening procedures and document in medical record.
