Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System in Kansas City seeks a Medical Assistant to support efficient patient flow, prepare patients for visits, perform limited procedures, schedule tests, and maintain accurate medical records. Responsibilities

Accurately schedules tests, prepares specimens, and assists with procedures per competency checklist.
Collaborates with care team to coordinate patient care and documents in medical records.
Greet patients, register, schedule, pre-certify tests and procedures, and process insurance forms.
Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and ensure required logs and equipment checks are completed.
Enter ambulatory care charges and ensure data integrity in the medical record.
