Formación

• BCLS certification.
• AMT or AAMA certification preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
• Experience using electronic health records (EHR), EPIC preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a formal medical assistant training program, including externship.
• Ability to provide patient care appropriate to age and safety needs.
• Strong teamwork and communication with patients, families, and staff.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares patient for examination.
• Reviews chart for completeness, escorts patient to exam room, takes vitals, updates health history.
• Administers immunizations and medications as directed.
• Assists with treatments and orientation of new caregivers.
• Screens and triages phone calls and relays messages; calls prescriptions to pharmacies.
• Maintains standards and participates in quality control and policies.
• Performs clerical duties to maintain efficient flow.
• Manages inventory and restocks; ensures equipment and environment safety.
• Educates patients and families; supports front desk as needed.
• Documents information in the electronic medical record.
