Job summary

Heart Of Florida Health Center Inc. seeks a qualified Medical Assistant to support patient care across our Ocala clinics.

You will greet patients, prepare exam rooms, document vitals, assist with immunizations, phlebotomy, and lab draws, and maintain accurate records in the EMR. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, Florida MA/CNA certification preferred, current BLS, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS certification from recognized organizations required; non-recognized online certificates not accepted.
• State of Florida MA/CNA certification preferred.
• Spanish fluency is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, professional manner.
• Prepare exam rooms and equipment for provider encounters; document in EMR.
• Take and record vital signs accurately and maintain logs for vaccines, lab, and inventory.
• Perform immunizations, injections, and phlebotomy as ordered; document notes in EMR.
• Assist providers during procedures and exams; support care team communication.
