Job summary

UF Health in Daytona Beach is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our multi-specialty Surgical Specialists Clinic. The MA will provide patient care under a physician’s direct responsibility and may handle clerical, insurance, and medical records tasks.

Occasional float to other UFHP practices may be required to support staffing needs. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited MA program and MA certification (AAMA, NHA, NCCT, AMCA, AMT; EMT allowed in lieu).

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• MA certifications include AAMA, NHA, NCCT, AMCA, AAMA and AMT; EMT license can substitute.
• One year of direct patient care in ambulatory care preferred.
• Candidate should be proactive, able to multitask, and collaborate as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a physician office under supervision of a licensed physician.
• May perform clerical, insurance, and medical record duties.
• May float to other UFHP practices as needed for staffing.
