Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Competency-based Medical Assistant training program completed.
• CMA/CCMA/NCMA/NRCMA/RMA plus BLS certification required from listed bodies.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate efficient patient flow and assist with visit preparation as directed by providers.
• Maintain and update electronic health records and perform administrative duties.
• Maintain a clean environment and report equipment issues.
• Greet patients and communicate with families with care and respect.
• Collect, monitor and report patient data to licensed team members.
• Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments; prepare and document medications within scope.

Medical Assistant training program (competency-based)

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - AAMA

Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA) - NHA

Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) - NCCT

Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) - NAHP

Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA
