Corewell Health in Saint Joseph, MI, seeks a Medical Assistant to support clinical activities and patient flow under licensed supervision. You will assist providers, manage administrative tasks including EHR, and promote a high standard of service in line with our Service First philosophy.

The role emphasizes patient safety, privacy, and collaboration with physicians, nurses, and staff to ensure efficient care delivery. On-site, day shift with 40 hours/week.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Accredited MA program with hands-on clinical skills OR 1+ year direct patient care in MA/LPN/Paramedic/EMT.
• CMA (AAMA) certification within 120 days
• CCMA (NHA) certification within 120 days
• NCMA (NCCT) certification within 120 days
• NRCMA (NAHP) certification within 120 days
• RMA (AMT) certification within 120 days
• BLS: AHA certification within 90 days
• BLS: ARC certification within 90 days
• 1 year relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Facilitates efficient and effective patient flow and prepares patients for visits.
• Assists with examinations, procedures and treatments by preparing supplies.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety of environment and equipment.
• Greets patients and communicates with families with care and respect.
• Collects and reports patient data per documentation standards.
• Adheres to privacy, confidentiality and organizational policies.
• Completes required training and ongoing professional development.
• Gathers supplies and administers medications within MA scope as directed by providers.
