WH Wheeling Hospital Inc. seeks a Medical Assistant to perform basic nursing skills and support physicians and RNs under supervision. The role includes patient intake, exam room preparation, procedures assistance, scheduling, and clerical duties.

Requires high school diploma, MA program or 1 year clinical experience, and BLS within 30 days of hire. On-site work with potential travel between facilities; 36-hour weekly schedule.

Formación

• Basic nursing or MA responsibilities under supervision.
• Hospitals/clinic environment experience preferred.
• BLS within 30 days of hire is required.

Responsabilidades

• Greet and escort patients to exam rooms and obtain initial information and vital signs.
• Prepare exam rooms with cleanliness and stock supplies.
• Assist with exams, tests, and procedures.
• Schedule appointments and set up referrals as needed.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Educate patients on follow-up expectations.
• Maintain quality control testing logs and ensure equipment is working.
• Assist with medical documentation and office tasks including phones, messages, data entry, and cash handling.
