The candidate should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, plus completion of a Medical Assistant program (or 1 year of clinical experience) and Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program OR one year of clinical experience.
Obtain Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire date.
Preferred: completion of healthcare education coursework.
Experience: one year of healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

Greets and escorts patient to exam rooms and obtains initial information and vital signs.
Prepares exam rooms for patients and ensures supplies and cleanliness.
Assists with and/or performs exams, tests, and procedures.
Schedules appointments and sets up referral contacts as needed.
Assists providers during examinations and procedures.
Educates patients on follow-up expectations.
Maintains quality control testing logs as required.
Ensures all medical equipment is in proper working condition.
Assists with medical documentation completion.
Performs office tasks including phones, messages, data entry, and cash handling.
