Job summary

United Digestive is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians with clinical and clerical tasks, ensuring smooth patient flow and accurate chart management in a gastroenterology setting.

The role requires CMA/RMA certification or equivalent experience, 2–3 years in gastroenterology, CPR preferred, and strong computer/EMR and MS Office skills to assist with patient care and office operations.

Qualifications

• Current Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) or equivalent experience required.
• CPR certification preferred.
• 2–3 years of specialty clinical experience; gastroenterology experience preferred.
• Medical Assistant must be computer literate and able to operate EMR systems and multiple Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Monitors schedule and organizes patient flow for physician office visits or in-office procedures.
• Accompanies patients to exam room, triages, collects patient history, and provides assessments as delegated by physicians.
• Schedules and obtains results for testing and other services; communicates results to physicians and patients.
• Performs or assists with in-office ancillary services, procedures, and specialty services.
• Manages patient charts to ensure clinical information is complete and entered into the EMR promptly.
