Job summary

United Digestive seeks a skilled Medical Assistant to support physicians and staff in a gastroenterology practice. You will manage patient flow, take histories, assist with exams, and help with in-office procedures and EMR documentation.

Qualifications include CMA or RMA certification (or equivalent), CPR preferred, and 2–3 years of specialty clinical experience in gastroenterology. You will work closely with the Practice Manager to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitors schedule and organizes patient flow for physician visits and procedures.
• Accompanies patients to exam room, collects history, and assists with physicals as delegated.
• Schedules and obtains results for tests and communicates results to physicians and patients.
• Performs or assists with in-office procedures and manages EMR documentation.
• Maintains HIPAA confidentiality and handles patient information securely.
• Answers emails/voicemails and supports front-desk tasks.
• Cross-trains in additional office duties as needed.
