Job summary

Loyal Source is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform a mix of administrative and clinical tasks in our clinical setting. You will take vital signs, prepare exam rooms and equipment, and help manage claimant flow to keep the office running smoothly.

You will also perform direct patient care tasks such as drawing blood, conducting pulmonary function testing, and assisting with ECG uploads for official readings, while maintaining accurate medical records and complying with safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate claimant records.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).
• Ability to follow established safety guidelines.
• Up-to-date BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs (blood pressure and pulse).
• Prepare claimant for examination (electrocardiogram/testing and more).
• Draw blood for lab tests as needed.
• Perform Pulmonary Function Testing and AED calibration tasks.
• Upload Electrocardiogram data for official readings.
• Chaperone claimant during examinations and maintain patient privacy.
• Check-in/Check-out claimants and manage clinic flow.
• Order entry for diagnostic testing (labs, X-rays, sleep study, PFTs).
• Review medical records and maintain supplies.
