Job summary

MyMichigan Health in Michigan is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers with patient assessment, documentation, and care coordination across office locations.

Under supervision, you'll greet patients, take vitals, perform basic procedures, prepare exam rooms, and assist with treatments while upholding HIPAA and OSHA standards.

Preferred qualifications include RMA or CMA certification, BLS, and 3–5 years in a clinical setting; training provided for new staff.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified Medical Assistant (RMA or CMA) or equivalent.
• BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of medical office policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Triage calls, schedule urgent care, and coordinate tests and pre-certifications.
• Greet patients, take vital signs, document data, and maintain records.
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures.
• Prepare and clean patient areas and manage supply use.
• Order supplies and medications and ensure HIPAA compliance.
