Job summary

United Health Centers in California is recruiting Medical Assistants (MA) to join our state-of-the-art health centers. We welcome experienced MAs and new graduates who can listen to patients, provide quality care, and work closely with providers.

Candidates should be bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, have CPR and a valid driver's license, and be able to handle multiple tasks while maintaining confidentiality. The role includes education, patient flow management, and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED.
• Completed training program in Medical Assisting from Accredited College.
• CPR certification and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt medical support; promotes a smooth patient flow; collects and records data accurately; maintains order of exam rooms, equipment and supplies.
• Provides basic education and information to patients, addressing questions and alleviating anxieties.
• Interfaces with community activities and staff to promote access to care.
• Communicates clearly with supervisor and all staff.
• Works flexible or extended hours where necessary.
• Participates in health center in-services and meetings, listening and respecting others’ ideas.
• Abides by Rules of Confidentiality.
