Job summary

Marathon Health in Las Vegas is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team and partner with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and an exceptional guest experience within our care settings. You will support both clinical and front desk duties in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year MA experience, completion of an MA program, MA certification/registration where required, CPR/BLS certification at start date, and preferred phlebotomy

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification or registration is strongly preferred and required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to room; ensures exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Take vitals, perform phlebotomy, administer injections and assist with procedures.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals and coordinating care outside of the clinic.
• Record data in medical records and process test results; provide timely communications to patients.
• Support care team to develop patient plans and address gaps in care.
