Job summary

Located in Lakewood, Colorado, St. Anthony Hospital, part of CommonSpirit Health, seeks a Medical Assistant to support clinicians and patients within a fast-paced trauma-focused environment.

You will perform clinical tasks, maintain precise charts, and participate in ongoing MA training and professional development as part of our dedicated team. Growth on the MA Clinical Ladder is linked to certification and patient care excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/G.E.D. required.
• BLS through American Heart Association required.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant preferred.
• One year experience as Medical Assistant or EMT preferred.
• Completion of Medical Assisting Program/Trade/Technical School preferred.
• EMT program/association paths may require pharmacology courses.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural and spiritual needs and report outcomes to the provider.
• Demonstrate competency in vital signs, procedures, prevention services, previsit planning and follow up.
• Process medication refills per protocol and ensure efficient patient flow.
• Contribute to patient care plans with the interdisciplinary team and identify participation barriers.
• Complete Medical Assistant Core Skills and specialty competencies as defined by Scope of Practice.
• Maintain confidential patient charts and accurately document interventions and outcomes.

Education

High School Diploma/G.E.D.

Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (preferred)

EMT experience (preferred)

Medical Assisting Program/Trade/Technical School

EMT Program/Trade/Technical School (Associates who completed EMT training require pharmacology courses)
