Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association is required.
• CM/Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• 1 year of MA or EMT experience preferred.
• Completion of MA program and/or EMT training is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Assess patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural and spiritual needs and report to the provider.
• Perform vital signs, basic procedures, prevention services, planning, and follow-up; manage medication refills per protocol.
• Contribute to the patient care plan with the interdisciplinary team and identify participation barriers.
• Complete Medical Assistant Core Skills and any specialty competencies per Scope of Practice.
• Maintain confidential patient charts and records, including importing scanned documents.
• Document status, interventions, patient response and outcomes accurately and timely.
