Job summary

Ohio State University Physicians is seeking a Medical Assistant to support direct patient care across outpatient settings. You will room patients, record vitals, and assist clinicians with examinations and procedures while ensuring comfort and safety for all patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent plus one of: MA Program diploma OR 1 year medical assisting experience OR Military Medic training OR EMT-P training.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and record vital signs (height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration).
• Complete patient interview and history.
• Prepare patients for examinations, tests and treatments; explain procedures; assist as ordered by physician.
• May assist in examinations, carry out treatments and special tests.
• Set up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms.
• Collect samples (blood, urine, sputum) and perform routine lab tests.
