Job summary

Ohio State University Physicians is hiring a Medical Assistant to support direct patient care in outpatient settings at Columbus locations. The role includes rooming patients, taking vitals, preparing for exams, and assisting physicians with procedures in accordance with clinical protocols.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma with MA training or equivalent experience. Certification is preferred and tuition reimbursement is available; benefits include comprehensive health plans and PTO.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent plus at least one of: MA Program, 1 year medical assisting experience, Military Medic training, EMT-P training, or combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and record vital signs (height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration).
• Complete patient interview and history.
• Prepare patients for examinations, tests and treatments; assist with procedures as ordered by physicians.
• Set up equipment and treatment rooms; collect samples (blood, urine, sputum) and perform routine labs.
