Job summary

Malama I Ke Ola Health Center is actively seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to join its Maui team. You will work with nurses and providers to ensure patients feel welcomed and cared for, handling both clinical and administrative tasks with a patient-centered focus.

Responsibilities include pre-visit planning, vital signs, medication administration where trained, and EMR documentation. Prior MA or CNA experience is valued in this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum of one-year experience as Medical Assistant or CNA preferred.
• Ability to read, write and understand English and respond in detailed instructions.
• Excellent customer service and patient-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with RN and Medical Provider to prepare patients for visits.
• Perform administrative tasks and patient care per established policies.
• Administer medications as trained (topically, orally, injections).
• Document visit information in EMR and ensure chart accuracy.
• Coordinate referrals and pre-visit planning with care team.
