Malama I Ke Ola Health Center in Maui is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support nurses, providers, and a collaborative care team. You will perform administrative and patient care duties, help with pre-visit planning, screenings, and coordinating with CHW and outside entities to ensure patient-centered care.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, strong communication, and delivering quality care to diverse patients, with a team-based approach to clinical procedures and safety.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a medication administration course prior to hire or within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as Medical Assistant or Nurse Aide preferred.
• Ability to accurately take and record vital signs.
• Clear, effective communication in English.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate pre-visit planning with RN and Medical Provider.
• Review due protocols and prepare pre-visit assessments.
• Identify high-need patients and coordinate care plans.
• Request medical records and patient consents as needed.
• Assist with documentation in EMR and care coordination tasks.
• Coordinate with CHW for blood pressure machine access.
• Discharge patients with clinical summary and RTC information.
