Job summary

Vail Health in Dillon, CO is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Dillon Family Practice. The role supports providers with patient care, records, and administrative tasks in a busy clinic setting.

Responsibilities include vital signs, venipunctures, injections, IV initiation as needed, documentation in the EHR, and ensuring exam room readiness. Requires HIPAA training and a CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA or Colorado licensure pathway.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in patient care and admin duties.
• Venipunctures, injections and IV therapy preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and OSHA rules.

Responsibilities

• Record vital signs, patient history and procedures in the EHR.
• Answer patient phone calls promptly and professionally.
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures.
• Prepare patients for procedures and initiate IV therapy as needed.
• Monitor patient condition and communicate changes to the provider.
• Maintain exam room cleanliness and stock supplies; perform opening/closing duties.
• Adhere to Just Culture and organizational values; HIPAA compliant.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
