The role includes vital signs, venipuncture, injections, IV therapy, patient prep for procedures, and strict adherence to HIPAA and OSHA rules, with strong emphasis on accurate EHR documentation and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience with applicable patient care and administrative duties preferred.
• Ability to perform venipunctures, administer injections, and initiate intravenous therapy preferred.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology, medical equipment, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules and regulations.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Obtains, monitors, and records vital signs, patient history, and invasive procedures; ensure accuracy in the EHR.
• Fields patient phone calls promptly and professionally.
• Assists providers with examinations, procedures, and direct patient care.
• Prepares patients for procedures, including venipunctures and injections; initiates IV therapy as needed.
• Monitors patient condition and reports changes to the provider.
• Maintains documentation and communicates plan of care with the provider.
