Job summary

Vail Health in Dillon, CO seeks a Medical Assistant to join Dillon Family Practice. This full-time, year-round role supports providers with patient care, records vital signs, and performs venipunctures, injections, and IV initiation as needed.

You will document in the EHR, handle patient communications, and help prepare patients for procedures while maintaining HIPAA compliance and accurate records. A minimum of 2 years’ experience is preferred, with BLS certification required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience with patient care and administrative duties preferred.
• Ability to perform venipunctures, administer injections, and initiate IV therapy preferred.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology, medical equipment, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, monitor, and record vital signs, patient history, and procedures; document in EHR.
• Field patient calls promptly and professionally.
• Assist providers and staff with examinations, procedures, and direct patient care tasks.
• Prepare patients for procedures, including venipunctures and injections, initiate IV therapy as needed.
• Monitor patient condition and report changes to the provider.
• Maintain patient documentation and communicate care plan with providers.
