Job summary

Luminis Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians and office operations in Centreville, MD. You will perform administrative and clinical tasks, including patient registration, scheduling, and basic procedures under physician guidance.

The role requires a High School diploma (or equivalent) and medical office experience; CMA/RMA/AAMA certification is preferred, CPR certification required, and strong teamwork is expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year of clerical/billing experience in a medical office setting.
• Experience operating multi-line phone systems, fax machines, photocopiers, PCs, credit card machines, glucometers, EKG machines and other medical equipment as required by the medical practice.

Responsibilities

• Register and schedule patients; print documents including the providers daily schedule.
• Maintain inventories of medical and office supplies in the office and exam rooms.
• Process ordering of clinical supplies in line with practice standards.
• Assist with injections, EKGs, spirometry, phlebotomy and therapeutic treatments as directed by the physician.
• Support patient eligibility checks and referrals/preauthorizations as needed.
• Answer calls, greet patients, and maintain professional telephone etiquette.
