Qualifications

• MA certifications (CCMA/CMA/RMA/NCMA/NRCMA) or nursing/EMT/Paramedic background are acceptable.
• CPOE certification within 2 weeks if MA certification is not obtained at hire.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify insurance and documentation.
• Schedule appointments and process co-pays.
• Prepare patients for examination and record medical history.
• Perform vital signs and preliminary patient assessments.
• Conduct point-of-care testing (flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG).
• Assist providers with patient care and procedures.
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and medical records.
• Answer patient questions and coordinate referrals.
• Perform opening/closing duties and equipment checks.
