Job summary

CloseKnit Primary Care in Annapolis, MD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in a busy in-person practice. This part-time role includes two 10-hour shifts with weekend rotation, handling both clinical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current MA certification (CCMA/CMA/RMA) and CPR/BLS.
• Minimum two years MA experience with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinicians with exams and procedures.
• Perform clinical intake, vitals, and patient history.
• Administer injections and venipuncture as directed.
• Maintain exam rooms and assist with lab specimen handling.
• Manage front-desk tasks: check-ins, scheduling, and codes.
• Document in EHR and support regulatory compliance.
