CloseKnit is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support clinicians in a hands-on, in-person clinical environment in Annapolis Harbour, MD. The role blends clinical and administrative duties, with two 10-hour shifts on weekdays and a rotating weekend schedule.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, completion of an accredited MA program, and current certified credentials (CCMA/CMA/RMA) plus BLS/CPR. EMR experience is required, with attention to HIPAA and OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
• Current CCMA, CMA, or RMA certification.
• Current BLS or CPR certification.
• 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Experience using EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with exams, diagnostic testing, and in-office procedures.
• Conduct clinical intake, including patient histories and vitals.
• Administer injections and medications as directed by providers.
• Perform venipuncture and collect lab specimens.
• Operate medical equipment and prepare specimens for testing.
• Educate patients on treatment plans and follow-up care.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and ensure compliance with HIPAA/OSHA.
