Job summary

A-Line Staffing is seeking a Medical Assistant for a Primary Care Clinic in Minnesota. This part-time role offers 30 hours per week across three days with varied clinic hours.

Responsibilities include welcoming patients, rooming, taking histories, vital signs, vaccinations, point-of-care testing, EMR data entry, and coordinating with the care team to maintain patient privacy under HIPAA. Opportunities for extension to full-time may be discussed with the manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Medical Assistant required.
• Prior MA experience in primary care or similar settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients warmly, provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive clinic experience.
• Room patients, collect medical histories, obtain vital signs, and collect specimens for point-of-care testing.
• Prepare and administer vaccinations and provide patient education per protocols.
• Perform point-of-care testing and maintain quality control procedures.
• Protect patient privacy and confidentiality by following HIPAA/PHI requirements.
• Manage patient check-in and check-out with accurate EMR data.
• Answer calls, take messages and provide accurate information to patients.
• Assist patients with questions regarding insurance, copayments, billing and charges.
• Maintain clean, organized, and stocked clinical and patient areas.
• Monitor and order medical supplies to support daily clinic operations.
• Communicate patient care and operational concerns to the provider and clinic team.
• Support efficient clinic workflow and overall patient satisfaction.
• Participate in community outreach and engagement efforts.

A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Medical Assistant – Primary Care Clinic. Part Time. Hours Part-time: 30 hours per week (3 days per week) Business hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–7:30 PM; Saturday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM; Sunday, 9:00 AM–4:30 PM Full time may be possible if discussed and agreed upon with manager Assignments are expected to last six months; Opportunities for extension and conversion to full-time employment may be available.

Compensation $27.73 per hour

• Support efficient clinic workflow, patient wait-time expectations, quality standards, and overall patient satisfaction.
• Participate in community outreach and initiatives that support clinic growth and engagement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be certified or licensed as a Medical Assistant.
• Prior Medical Assistant experience is highly preferred, particularly in primary care, urgent care, emergency room, family medicine, or internal medicine settings.
