Join Our Patient-Focused Team as a Part-Time Medical Assistant in Gainesville!

Please Note: This part-time position will be Monday-Wednesday, 8AM-5PM.

SIMEDHealth is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented part-time Medical Assistant to join our dedicated team in Gainesville. In this role, you will be vital in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth clinical operations. Your commitment to customer service, safety, and professionalism will significantly impact the patient experience.

What You'll Need:

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program or National Certification (preferred)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (required)
• 1-2 years of experience using electronic health records (preferred)
• At least one year of experience in a private medical office or hospital setting (preferred)
• Bilingual abilities are a plus

Your Role Will Involve:

• Ensuring accurate and complete patient information is available in electronic medical records
• Welcoming patients and documenting vital signs in the EHR
• Handling medication refill requests, coordinating with patients and providers
• Administering prescribed medications (injections, oral, topical) as trained
• Assisting with patient procedures (EKGs, spirometry, dressings, wound care, etc.)
• Triaging patient calls and providing medical advice
• Facilitating referrals and authorizations for procedures and surgeries
