Schweiger in Syracuse, NY is seeking a Part Time Medical Assistant to join our dermatology practice. The role supports physicians in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures and handles clinical and clerical tasks in a fast-paced setting.

We require dermatology and healthcare experience, with a preference for Nationally Certified Medical Assistants. The position offers a part-time schedule (less than 30 hours/week) with weekday and rotating Saturday coverage, and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifikationen

• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems.
• Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends.

Aufgaben

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care.
• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures.
• Assist provider in recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorization and procedures within established guidelines.
• Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate provider’s next steps to the best of their ability.
• Prep rooms before and after patients, including checking all equipment at the beginning of each shift to ensure all is in proper working order.
• Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions as needed.
• Daily scan all retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies and alert Head MA and/or GM of any low level supplies.
• Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment as requested.
• Attend all in-house training and continued education opportunities.

Job Summary

Part Time Medical Assistant at our Syracuse Office.

The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing the highest quality of medical, clinical, and clerical tasks in a medical setting. Previous healthcare experience is required.

Schedule: Part Time, less than 30 hours per week. Availability Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays within operating hours of 7a-7:30p. Open Flexibility to help cover in a team environment is needed.

Medical Assistant

Hourly Pay Range: $16.50-21
