Job summary

Schweiger Dermatology Group in Princeton, NJ is seeking a Part-time Medical Assistant to support physicians in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures. You will help record treatments, manage patient flow, prep rooms, and ensure equipment is ready for each shift.

Ideal candidates have dermatology or healthcare experience, EMR familiarity, and strong communication skills. Flexible weekday/weekend availability and a patient-centered approach are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Dermatology experience preferred.
• Healthcare experience required.
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems.
• Must be computer savvy with Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Open availability to work weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care.
• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures.
• Record prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, and prior authorizations.
• Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate next steps.
• Prep rooms before and after patients and check equipment at shift start.
• Provide pre-care and post-care instructions as needed.
• Scan retail and cosmetic products and alert leadership of low supplies.
• Attend in-house training and continued education opportunities.

Schedule

Part time, less than 30 hours per week. Availability Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays within operating hours of 7:00am - 7:00pm. Open Flexibility to help cover in a team environment is needed.

Medical Assistant

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care offered to patients and for respective provider(s)
• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures
• Assist provider in recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorization and procedures within established guidelines
• Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate provider’s next steps to the best of their ability
• Prep rooms before and after patients, including checking all equipment at the beginning of each shift to ensure all is in proper working order
• Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions as needed
• Daily scan all retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies and alert Head MA and/or GM of any low level supplies
• Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment as requested
• Attend all in-house training and continued education opportunities

Qualifications

• Dermatology experience preferred
• Healthcare experience required
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems
• Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Excellent patient relation and customer services skills
• Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends

Hourly Pay Range

$18 - $22
