Job summary

Jax Spine and Pain Center in Florida is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support physicians and APRNs, handle patient care, assist with procedures, and maintain efficient clinic operations. You will room patients, collect vitals, prepare exam rooms, and document in the EMR.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, BLS/CPR, strong communication, confidentiality, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Proficiency with computers and electronic medical records (EMR).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, medication lists, and chief complaints.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Assist providers during patient visits and minor office procedures.
• Administer injections and medications as directed and within scope of practice.
• Perform EKGs, specimen collection, and other clinical duties as assigned.
• Document patient information accurately within the EMR.
• Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and follow-up appointments as needed.
• Provide patient education regarding medications, procedures, and treatment plans.
• Maintain exam rooms, clinical supplies, and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and safety standards.
• Assist with inventory management and supply ordering.
• Collaborate with providers and team members to promote efficient patient flow and quality care.
