Job summary

Jax Spine and Pain Centers is seeking Certified Medical Assistants for our back office to provide excellent patient care and maintain accurate documentation, collaborating with all departments and preparing the clinic environment.

Requirements include high school diploma or GED, CMA preferred or MA program graduate, ability to measure vitals, read and record medical information, and strong organizational and communication skills; experience in pain management is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One+ year MA experience, CMA preferred; MA program graduate acceptable.
• Able to measure and record vital signs.
• Able to read, analyze, interpret, and write medical records and documentation.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for patient interactions in the clinical setting by reviewing charts and documents.
• Generate forms for patient education, consent, referrals, prescriptions, and care documentation.
• Obtain medical records, lab results, and other materials as indicated.
• Maintain a sanitary, well-stocked clinical environment and functional equipment.
• Ensure availability of medications, supplies, equipment, and staff for scheduled interactions.
• Communicate with internal and external resources to secure needed information and supplies.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure a seamless patient experience.
• Communicate with physicians and other care providers during assessments and procedures.
