Job summary

CLS Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for a multispecialty practice. The role supports patient care, rooming, vitals, chart prep, and coordination of referrals.

You will assist physicians in the exam room, manage documentation, and help with patient education and follow-up. Strong communication and multitasking are essential in a fast-paced clinic. This on-site position offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with a nationally recognized accreditation organization.
• Two years+ of experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience in a medical office or customer service environment preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

Responsibilities

• Rooming the patient.
• Interview/update patient’s chief complaint, medical history, medication list, and take vitals.
• Prepares patient charts a week in advance and verifies benefits reports.
• Scanning documents to appropriate patient charts.
• Makes sure all rooms are stocked and clean before clinic, after each patient, and at the end of the day.
• Refill patient medications as directed by a physician and obtain Pre-Authorization/Determination for medications.
• Assists the physician in the exam room with procedures and wound care.
• Follow up on calls/voicemails and document phone log/conversation.
• Educates and informs the patient of tests, labs, referrals, and procedures.
• Schedules patients for upcoming appointments after the physician sees the patient.
• Obtains authorization prior to sending any orders when needed.
• Distributes faxes to appropriate team member(s).
• Performs related duties as required.

We are Looking for:

Someone who is an experienced Medical Assistant for a multispecialty medical practice. The medical assistant should perform a supportive role in delivering comprehensive care to the patient that is safe, effective, and efficient.

Responsibilities:

• Rooming the patient

• Ensures that physician is in-network and authorized/up-to-date referral is in the patient’s chart.

• Educates and informs the patient of any DI, labs, referrals, and procedures physicians might have ordered.
• Schedules patients for upcoming appointments after the physician sees the patient.
• Obtains authorization prior to sending any orders when needed.
• Main fax line– Distribute faxes to appropriate team member(s)
• Performs related duties as required.

Requirements
