Job summary

UW Health Belvidere Hospital in Belvidere, IL is hiring a Medical Assistant to join the 100% FTE, Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:30pm schedule. This role supports clinic operations, greets patients, and assists clinicians in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Required qualifications include an accredited Associate degree or Medical Assistant program and valid HS diploma or equivalent, plus 1+ year clinic experience and active certification such as RMA/AAMA/CCMA/NCCT; CPR/BLS is required.

Work Schedule:

100% FTE, Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm, you will work at UW Health Belvidere Hospital 1625 S State St Belvidere IL

Additional components of compensation may include:

• Evening, night, and weekend shift differential
• Overtime

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Associate degree program or Medical Assistant program or have at least 2 years of relevant experience. Required
• Must provide copy of HS diploma or equivalent, or highest level of completed degree obtained. Required

Work Experience

• At least one year of professional experience in a clinic setting. Preferred
• Computer experience. Required

Licenses & Certifications

• RMA, AAMA, CCMA or NCCT certification is required upon hire. Required
• Basic Life Support/CPR Certification. Required
• Active RMA, AAMA, CCMA or NCCT certification must be maintained. Required
