Job summary

Chinatown Service Center in Alhambra, CA, seeks a Medical Assistant for the PACE program to support clinicians, perform clinical and clerical tasks, and help deliver high-quality, elder-centered care.

You will take vital signs, assist with procedures, collect specimens, and help with medications and immunizations. Fluency in Cantonese/MMandarin is preferred; BLS and MA training are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant training program or certification.
• MA certification (AAMA/AMT) preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Take and document vital signs (BP, pulse, temp, weight, height).
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms; keep stocked and sanitized.
• Collect specimens for laboratory tests as ordered.
• Assist with medications, injections, and immunizations as directed.
• Perform wound care and dressing changes as needed.
• Ensure safe handling of medications and supplies.
• Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Communicate with patients and families about appointments and care.
