Job summary

PacificSource is seeking a Medical Assistant for its PACE program to support elderly participants with vital signs, EKGs, labs, immunizations, and medication administration. You will document data in the EHR, assist providers, and coordinate appointments while maintaining clean exam rooms and equipment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a Medical Assistant program, CPR/First Aid, and 1 year of elderly care experience; CCMA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of experience with elderly or frail populations required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program preferred.
• National CCMA certification preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Phlebotomy training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with clinic technical support: vital signs, EKGs, labs, immunizations, and related tasks.
• Record clinical data in EHR and assist with data entry.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed.
• Perform routine lab tests and collect specimens.
• Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and equipment.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient records in EHR.
• Assist with rooming and checkout of participants; schedule follow-ups.
• Prepare exam rooms, restock supplies, and sterilize equipment.
• Provide patient education and support; address questions and concerns.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for comprehensive care.
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols.
• Participate in team meetings and caregiver groups.
