Job summary

INTEGRIS Health in Yukon, OK, is seeking a day shift, full-time Medical Assistant for our Orthopedic Outpatient Clinic. You will perform vitals, take patient histories, venipuncture, labs, referrals, and manage patient messages under physician direction.

We value strong customer service, English communication skills, and CPR/BLS certification. MA certification or at least 6 months clinic experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification/registration; OR 6 of months of clinic MA experience
• 6 months of customer service experience preferred
• CPR or BLS certification within 90 days of employment
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written)

Responsibilities

• Gathers and documents information about patient condition, including lab values and pain levels
• Contributes to assessment and reassessment of patients
• Monitors and documents patient status
• Assists in development and execution of the plan of care, including non-narcotic medication administration
• Manages large call volume with courteous telephone etiquette
• Organizes workflow to meet patient needs in a timely manner
• May retrieve and transport medications
• Reports to assigned director, manager, supervisor or lead
