Job summary

Sun Life Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for Outlying sites to support providers and ensure smooth patient care across multiple locations. You will assist with patient prep, exams, immunizations, lab testing, and phlebotomy, while educating patients on medications and preventive care.

Role requires high school diploma or GED; CMA/RMA preferred; CPR certification required and orientation will include training. 2–5 years MA experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred; eligible for certification pay differential.
• CPR certification required (can be obtained during orientation).
• 2–5 years’ Medical Assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support providers and ensure smooth patient care across multiple sites.
• Assist with patient prep, exams, immunizations, lab testing, and phlebotomy.
• Educate patients on medications, preventative care, and self-management goals.
• Maintain accurate documentation, clinic standards, and equipment/supply readiness.
• Provide front desk support, including check-in/out, payments, and scheduling.
• Act as a professional liaison between patients, providers, and other facilities.
