Job summary

Ascension Medical Group in Wichita, KS seeks a patient-focused medical assistant for Otolaryngology on a day shift, full-time basis. You will interview patients, record vital signs, and prepare treatment rooms to support clinicians in delivering high-quality care.

Assist physicians and nurses with real-time treatments, document patient journeys, and maintain confidentiality of records. Ensure smooth clinic flow by managing supplies and administrative tasks to support the health team.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification required within 30 days; accepted by AHA or ARC.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent or 1 year of related experience.

• Maintain seamless continuity of care by documenting patient journeys and managing essential records with precision and confidentiality.
• Optimize clinic flow by proactively managing medical supplies and administrative tasks, ensuring the team has the resources necessary to focus on patient health.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
