Job summary

Corewell Health Orthopedics in Ludington seeks a full-time Medical Assistant to join a fast-paced team focused on patient mobility and quality care. You will work closely with providers in a busy orthopedic setting, supporting clinic operations from 8:30 a.m.

to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, in the Medical Office Building I location. Earn a $3,000 sign-on bonus for external applicants or CHW MA Apprentice Students.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program or 1 year direct patient care experience is required.
• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• One of CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, or NRCMA certifications required within 120 days.

About Outpatient Clinics

Scope of Work

As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on, in-person clinical skills OR a minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with an MA scope of practice Required
• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting
• Preferred AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
• One of the following
• Required within 120 Days:
  • AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
  • AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
  • NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA)
  • NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
  • NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
