Job summary

Low-T Center powered by SynergenX in Plano, TX seeks a Part-Time Medical Assistant to join our MHRT Wellness Clinic. You will assist with vital signs, phlebotomy, injections, and in-house lab work while delivering excellent patient care.

Two weeks of paid, hands-on training are provided; MA certification is preferred but not required. Must live within commuting distance to the Plano clinic and thrive in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; proof of education required.
  • At least 6 months of medical assisting experience.
  • Phlebotomy experience required.
  • Experience assisting with minor procedures preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Experience with EMR systems.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and sterilization procedures.
  • Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Able to successfully complete a criminal background check.
  • Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the Plano clinic.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain and document manual vital signs.
  • Perform routine blood draws.
  • Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections as directed by the provider.
  • Maintain lab equipment and accurately document lab results and quality controls.
  • Prepare and run in-house labs or coordinate labs with outside facilities as needed.
  • Ensure appropriate lab orders are prepared for each patient.
  • Assist with weekly inventory, ordering, and related communication.
  • Support front desk responsibilities when needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional clinical environment.
  • Follow proper HIPAA, sterilization, and safety procedures.
  • Provide professional, compassionate customer service to every patient.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment with a strong work ethic and willingness to help wherever needed

Schedule

Clinic Hours:

  • Monday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Tuesday: 8:00 AM–7:00 PM
  • Wednesday: 8:00 AM–1:00 PM
  • Thursday: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM

Additional scheduling requirements:

  • Up to 20 hours per week
  • Must be available to work Thursday through Saturday
