Job summary

Premise Health's Princeton, IN Health Center is seeking a Full Time Medical Assistant or Care Tech to support client employees. You will interview patients, take vitals, document health records, prepare treatment rooms, and assist with procedures including injections and EKGs.

Front-desk tasks and supply orders are also part of the role. You will need national MA certification or an approved MA certificate with externship, and active BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• National Medical Assistant certification or an accredited MA certificate with externship.
• Hands-on BLS/CPR training required.
• Experience in a health center setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and measure vital signs, document in health records.
• Prepare rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist with procedures.
• Administer medications (injections) and perform ECGs as allowed.
• Handle front desk duties, schedule visits, and order supplies.
• Maintain accurate patient records and support lab work as needed.

As a Full Time Medical Assistant or Care Tech, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Princeton, IN. The scheduled hours are Monday-Friday, 2:00PM-10:30PM.

What You’ll Do

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
