Job summary

BJC Medical Group is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for the OB-GYN team located off Telegraph Road in the St. Louis area. The MA will support physicians by obtaining patient histories, performing vital signs, preparing exam rooms, and assisting with procedures.

This role offers day shifts, a 40-hour work week, no call, no weekends, and a $2,500 sign-on bonus eligible. Benefits include comprehensive medical coverage and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required.
• CPR certification required.
• Cert/Reg in Area of Expertise.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, prepares and stocks supplies in exam rooms.

• Performs phlebotomy, EKGs, point-of-care testing and injections.
• Triage calls and communicates results with provider using correct terminology.

Role Purpose

The Medical Assistant (MA) provides medical assistance under the direction of a physician or other licensed provider. This position performs select duties for the promotion of health in the care of patients and delivers care according to practice protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, prepares and stocks supplies in exam rooms.
• Obtains vital signs, patient history and maintains accurate and prompt charting in the patient's record.
• Performs clinical skills, such as phlebotomy, electrocardiography (EKGs), point-of-care testing and injections.
• Triage calls, provide test and lab results to patients and present relevant information to provider with correct medical terminology.
