Job summary

BJC Medical Group in Missouri is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for the OBGYN department located off Telegraph Road. This outpatient role offers 40 hours per week, day shifts, and a $2,500 sign-on bonus with a strong benefits package.

As a Medical Assistant, you will support physicians with vital signs, patient histories, phlebotomy, EKGs and injections, while ensuring accurate charting and smooth exam room operations. NO CALL, NO WEEKENDS, NO HOLIDAYS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience: No Experience; preferred <2 years.
• Licenses & Certifications: CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and Cert/Reg in Area of Expertise.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, prepares and stocks supplies in exam rooms.
• Obtains vital signs, patient history and maintains accurate and prompt charting in the patient’s record.
• Performs clinical skills, such as phlebotomy, electrocardiography (EKGs), point-of-care testing and injections.
• Triage calls, provide test and lab results to patients and present relevant information to provider with correct medical terminology.

Role Purpose The Medical Assistant (MA) provides medical assistance under the direction of a physician or other licensed provider. This position performs select duties for the promotion of health in the care of patients and delivers care according to practice protocols and procedures.
