BJC Medical Group is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant for the OB/GYN department at the Telegraph Road location in the St. Louis area. You will support physicians with clinical tasks, take vitals, and maintain patient records in an outpatient setting.

The role emphasizes no call, no weekends, and no holidays, with a 40-hour workweek and a $2,500 sign-on bonus eligible. Certification and CPR may be preferred as part of the qualifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required; less than 2 years preferred.

Responsabilités

• Cleans, prepares and stocks supplies in exam rooms.
• Obtains vital signs, patient history and maintains accurate charting in the patient's record.
• Performs clinical skills, such as phlebotomy, EKGs, point-of-care testing and injections.
• Triage calls, provide test and lab results to patients and present relevant information to provider with correct medical terminology.

Role Purpose

The Medical Assistant (MA) provides medical assistance under the direction of a physician or other licensed provider. This position performs select duties for the promotion of health in the care of patients and delivers care according to practice protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical skills, such as phlebotomy, electrocardiography (EKGs), point-of-care testing and injections.
• Triage calls, provide test and lab results to patients and present relevant information to provider with correct medical terminology.
