Job summary

Endeavor Health in Naperville, IL is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our busy OBGYN clinic. You will support patient care by preparing patients for exams, collecting specimens, and performing routine lab tests.

The role includes some travel to other locations and requires flexible hours to meet clinic needs. Qualified candidates are CMA/RMA/CCMA certified or have substantial clinical experience, with CPR certification mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Medical Assistants (CMA, RMA or CCMA) preferred; current certification through AAMA/ARMA/NHA or other certifying agency.
• At least 6 months clinical experience if certified; at least 1 year if not certified.
• Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and administer select routine laboratory tests.
• Obtain specimens and record results; perform phlebotomy as needed.
• Administer selected medications/injections under physician supervision.
• Perform clerical duties related to clinic operations.

Hourly Pay Range $19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Sign on bonus: $1000
• Position: Medical Assistant
• Location: 120 Spalding Drive, Naperville
• Full Time 36 hours per week
• Hours: varies M-F 8am-5:30pm and rotating Sat 8:30am - 1:30pm
• Required Travel: Occasionally
• This role includes some travel to other locations and requires flexible hours to meet operational needs

What You Will Do

Under the direction of the Supervisor, performs select clinical functions to enhance delivery of patient care. Prepare patients for physical examination, obtain specimens, conduct select routine laboratory tests and records results, routine diagnostic tests and may perform phlebotomy. Under general supervision of a physician, administer selected medications/injections. Also performs clerical duties related to clinic operations. MA supports a very busy OBGYN office with multiple providers and additional clinical staff.

What You Will Need

• High school diploma or GED - REQUIRED
• Certified, Registered, and Clinical Certified Medical Assistants (CMA, RMA or CCMA) are required to provide current certification or registration through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), National Health career Association (NHA) or any other certifying agency and should have at least 6 months of clinical experience. - PREFERRED
• Candidates who are not certified or registered should have at least one year of clinical experience. - PREFERRED
• Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association - REQUIRED
